Soffit and Fascia

As well as the roof and siding of your home, the soffit and fascia play a vital role in polishing off the look of your house. Soffit is an exterior architectural feature on the underside of the roof’s overhang. Fascia is the vertical finishing edge that runs along the roof’s lower edge and connects to the area where rafters, trusses, and/or gutters attach to the roof.

The soffit creates a finished look, helps prevent mold and rot under the roof, deters animals and pests from getting into your home, and provides eaves. In addition, the fascia helps to prevent water from getting under the roof, adds to your home’s exterior aesthetic, and protects the ends of the rafters. Typically, soffit and fascia will match the trim or siding of the house.
